Security Surveys
Corporations in different industries are vulnerable to various kinds of threats. Insite prepares a formal assessment of threats based on industry patterns, statistics, current events and details unique to an individual organization. At risk can be information technology, intellectual property, personal safety, reputation, merchandise and other valuables, equipment and/or infrastructure. A full threat and vulnerability assessment helps balance the costs of risk and protection based on a full understanding of your corporate profile. Insite also provides IRS Independent Security Studies pursuant to 26 C.F.R. 1.132, the IRS regulation determining the deductibility of security and transportation expenses.

Threat Management
| Threat and vulnerability assessments help identify potential threats that in many cases can be monitored, controlled and oftentimes prevented. These can include the actions of an activist organization, a disgruntled ex-employee or industrial sabotage. Insite offers techniques for proactive threat management
beyond surveillance, developing full information about whomever and whatever constitutes a threat. We provide a full security audit and recommend changes in the operations of companies to make them less vulnerable to threats. We also analyze the lifestyle of executives to see how adjusting their personal patterns can reduce risk to their safety.

Workplace Violence and Domestic Violence in the Workplace
The threat assessment process is also important in preventing two significant business problems: workplace violence and domestic violence in the workplace.
Workplace violence cases may arise from a termination, relationship issues among employees or an employee's mental illness. Using established assessment tools, Insite seeks to predict the dangers of each situation and resolve them using a combination of mental health, law enforcement and civil law strategies.
A related problem in the workplace is the crisis an employee finds him or herself in after leaving an abusive relationship. While the victims may be able to find sanctuary at anonymous shelters, their places of employment are known to their abusers, and they may be subject to victimization at their workplace. In these situations, Insite works with victims and their management to facilitate the restraining-order process and to introduce temporary security measures that protect both the affected employee and co-workers.

Project Management
Insite's Project Management practice provides clients end-to-end support in the design and installation of security systems in existing or new construction. Insite's technical experts draft security requirements based upon our threat and vulnerability assessments. Insite's engineers draft plans and riser diagrams
in CAD format and publish performance specifications and vendor support requirements. Insite's technical security consultants work with architects, interior decorators and others to integrate security with the aesthetics of a given project.
Once the system has been designed, Insite can oversee a bid process and negotiate on the client's behalf. We continue to support the project by supervising the installation process and checking system operations at the conclusion of the job.

Evacuation Planning and Training
Evacuation planning cannot exist on paper alone. Companies must have an effective schedule of drills and training runs. Critical minutes should not be lost because of poor communication between building personnel and corporate personnel as to exactly what will happen in an emergency situation. Insite understands and communicates the proper way to:
 |
Inform, meet and direct firefighters effectively |
 |
Review the roles of building management and security personnel |
 |
Run effective, meaningful drills for employees |
 |
React when you cannot rely on your regular senses in situations of dense smoke, disorientation from toxic substances, etc. |

Crisis Management
Insite's review of corporate emergency planning generally finds plans that are uncoordinated, contradictory, out-of-date or, most importantly, that misjudge the essential steps to business recovery.
Insite excels in the discovery process working with senior management, risk managers, IT and HR professionals, corporate counsel, security managers or division leaders to identify what business functions are most critical in the face of:
 |
Fire damage |
 |
Weather catastrophes |
 |
Utility, technology or infrastructure failures |
 |
Supply- or distribution-chain failures |
 |
Hazardous material exposure |
 |
Health epidemics |
 |
Demonstrations |
Our analysis and recommendations are framed by years of experience and provide insight and confidence to every corporate constituency, each of which has special needs and responsibilities in the event of catastrophic business disruption.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNING
As companies evolve and grow, so too must their security planning. Insite doesn't wait for a company to change. Rather, our planning is created to consider what the future for a company or organization might hold. We provide a business framework, as well as security expertise, so that when corporate change occurs, crisis prevention, safeguards and tactical planning integrates seamlessly.
DISASTER RECOVERY PLANNING
Insite offers organizations a sophisticated planning process, the tools to manage and communicate during a crisis and the ability to resume normal operations. Insite helps clients:
 |
Prioritize corporate needs in terms of data recovery, mission-critical systems and alternative communication systems |
 |
Set recovery point objectives |
 |
Comprehend risk and how it can be managed or transferred |
 |
Identify optimum duplications of infrastructure |
 |
Understand the internal business planning commitment necessary for practical and effective corporate protection |
 |
Identify public or private resources available externally |
 |
Understand and comply with applicable regulatory requirements including NYSE and NASD member firm rules |
TESTING AND SIMULATIONS
The key to coping effectively with a disaster is reducing as many of the elements of surprise as possible. Insite is skilled at providing testing and simulation exercises to prepare corporate personnel for various emergency situations. We test emergency procedures of all kinds and use a variety of techniques from table top exercises to role-playing to equipment training, so that when a real emergency happens, everyone knows their roles, responsibilities and the decisions they must make.
SUPPLY CHAIN RESILIENCY
Many of Insite's clients are dependent on a complicated supply chain whose resiliency is critical. From data centers, software systems, manufacturing, production components to distribution centers and retail stores, every link in the chain needs to be protected. Insite identifies weaknesses in day-to-day operations and also plans for comprehensive disaster recovery in the face of a disruption affecting any part of the supply chain.

Executive Protection
Insite's security professionals are leaders in the discipline of personal protection, having had real-world experience in executive, celebrity, dignitary and sovereign protection. Insite professionals have career experience that ranges from the Secret Service detail protecting the President of the United States to being responsible for the personal protection of the chairmen of AT&T, Citigroup and their families. Insite's staff successfully passed the most sophisticated courses in executive and dignitary/diplomatic protection provided by the Secret Service, State Department and the New York Police Department.
The most important features of personal protection are the quality of the advance work, transportation planning and counter-surveillance. All major attacks are preceded by a significant amount of surveillance - spontaneous attacks are unlikely - so counter-surveillance to identify inappropriate attention can be critical. Our expertise is unparalleled in advance work, including vetting arrival areas and exits, diplomatic coordination with venue security, identifying problem individuals and understanding current and past threat management issues.

Travel Security
Traveling presents serious security issues for prominent individuals and high-level executives. While offices may be protected, there are many more variables when traveling domestically and abroad, particularly when traveling in the developing world or politically unstable regions.
At Insite, we employ government level security measures to ensure your executive staff's safety while traveling. We consider emergency medical, linguistic and transportation needs so that your executives can focus on the business at hand.
Our analysts begin by conducting a full destination review of the itinerary. We then provide a detailed briefing on the region covering issues such as: the local political situation, street crime statistics, local holiday and event schedules, hotel recommendations, detailed maps and emergency contact information, including embassy and hospital information. We vet the choice of hotel to ensure that it meets fire safety standards and carefully construct fire and emergency evacuation plans for each location.
Insite also coordinates safe transport to and from a destination and during an executive's and staff's stay. We provide drivers with the optimum routes between destinations, as well as alternate routes, safe houses, medical emergency procedures and the nearest trauma centers for every trip for which they are responsible. We also independently verify the qualifications of private pilots and the airworthiness of private aircraft utilizing an in-house investigator, who is both a commercially-rated pilot and an experienced detective.

Kidnapping Resolution Practice
To help protect our corporate clients, Insite has a dedicated Kidnapping Resolution Practice, headed by internationally acclaimed kidnapping negotiator Christopher Voss.
Many clients carry kidnap and ransom (K&R) insurance but are unaware that, in the event of a kidnapping, the assigned negotiator works for the insurer, not the victim. Insite provides clients an experienced, independent negotiator, who represents only their interests in dealing with hostage takers and does so within hours of an emergency call. We believe that the combined factors of independence, experience and speed result in quicker and safer resolutions of hostage-taking events.
Mr. Voss has unparalleled experience. He has worked on more than 150 kidnapping cases worldwide and has been trained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Scotland Yard and Harvard University. During his tenure with the FBI, Mr. Voss climbed up the ranks to become the bureau's lead international kidnapping negotiator at the Crisis Negotiation Unit based at Quantico. Prior to that, Mr. Voss was a member of the New York City Joint Terrorist Task Force.

Corporate Medical Services
Occupational health ranks high among the concerns of many executives. In today's environment there are a host of communicable diseases such as H1N1 (Swine Flu), tuberculosis and anthrax that organizations must consider. Focusing on the prevention of workplace medical emergencies can save companies significant amounts of money and can be vital in maintaining a healthy environment for staff.
Our physicians coordinate large scale inoculations for staffers, conduct training and simulate emergency situations and provide travel medical kits to executives while they are on the road. We craft a dedicated protocol for staff and create emergency response teams to ensure that in the event of a medical emergency the victim is properly cared for while specially trained employees deliver rapid medical care.
Insite partners with WorldClinic, a company that provides services including immediate, 24/7 telephone access to a physician, comprehensive health planning, medical provisioning for travel and office, disaster medical planning, a 24/7 electronic medical record archive and physician-to-physician second opinion referrals for any serious or complex illness.

Corporate Collection Services
In a corporate environment, Insite offers museum-quality security to properly protect a company's valuable artistic assets. We understand that in many cases, executive offices are highly trafficked. We balance the desire to utilize and enjoy collections on display with the need to keep them secure by developing customized plans that maintain an invisible cloak of security.
Insite's team takes a comprehensive inventory of the assets and surveys the existing security measures. We then engineer and design a custom approach dedicated to improving security and integrating new measures to protect these valuable cultural investments. Part of that process involves integrating multiple redundancies with both onsite electronic security systems (sensors, alarms, etc.) and operational security to ensure that all components communicate effectively and appropriately with perimeter security.
Insite also routinely works with architects and engineers when building a facility to ensure that the appropriate environmental measures are taken to properly protect the housing and display of a collection.
